I am Jake but on my birth certificate it says Jacob apparently because a nun told my mum that Jake was not a bible name.

Currently employed at Unity software working on the Unity Engine and Editor. My areas of interest and focus have been multi-threading, JobQueue, graphics, shader compilers,multi-threaded rendering, automated testing (functional and performance).

I have been writing computer programs since I was about 12 when my mum brought home a PET home computer. For an unknown reason in my work life I seem to tend to migrate away from coding and towards management. To rebel against that I either quit companies and find a new job or less drastically try to find time to write code at home on interesting projects.

Married with 3 amazing children and 2 grandsons.
